Pokesteam: Jezebel

I want to say I feel guilty, but not really. I really love gijinkas and after seeing some friend's applications for PokeSteam, I really wanted to join. Plus I've never worked with Steampunk before, but I hope I've managed to succeed!

JOB: Spell Crafter (She is being trained by someone she recently met, Coralene, but she dreams of becoming an entertainer and a singer)

WEAPON(S): None (Someone help her if she does get in a fight, she’d probably have to rely on her nails and teeth)
LIKES: Music, singing, fire, romance and romance novels, freedom, night and the nightlife, clothing, parties, magic, books
Dislikes: Mornings, formal events, water (she can’t swim), pessimists, stories that don’t end happily ever after, yelling
Personality: Jezebel is naïve in her view of life. She is a hopeless romantic, believing in love and thinking it will all work out in the end for everyone. She doesn’t understand the hardships of life yet since she had never dealt with any hardships when growing up with her family. She believes her ambitions to be a singer will come true and doesn’t appreciate when others try to tear up her dreams, she’ll often react with silence and a very nasty glare. If you keep on angering her, be warned because she has quite the temper and you might find yourself catching on fire. While she was taught to be polite, she doesn't have the best control over the fire she can produce. If you can get over her naïve view of the world and don’t manage to upset her, you’ll find she is a sweet, charming girl, who is easily amazed by things. She will always root for her friends, hoping for the best for them, and telling them it will be alright in the end, earnestly believing that.
HISTORY:
Jezebel’s mother (a Shandera) originally grew up in Shenlia but moved out of Shenlia to a small town outside it when she married a Burungel. Jezebel’s mother wanted nothing to do with her life she and her mother (Jezebel’s grandmother) shared with their simple spell crafting business that never got them far. Jezebel’s father is a wealthy merchant who was able to provide for him and his new wife, and Jezebel’s mother liked that, and wanted that kind of life for all her future children (which ended up being 4 daughters and 1 son).
Jezebel’s mother made sure her children were all tutored to know the best mannerisms and to be intelligent. She was especially tough on her daughters so she could be sure they would find suitable husbands so they too can have the life their mother had. She was tough on all of them, any sign of their natural powers, and she would try and “beat” it out of them. She wanted to have ladies and a gentleman, not magicians and spell cafters.
Jezebel delt with this difficult lifestyle her mother set up by drowning herself in stories of women finding their one true love. She would make her favorite maid tell her fairy tales and went to reading these kinds of books as soon as she could read. She dreamed of finding her one true love and would often day dream of a life with her “prince charming.” While her mother tried to get Jezebel to stop believing in fairy tales, her father definitely kept telling her to believe in them in, telling her that it can happen some day. It’s her father that helped develop Jezebel's naïve view of life and hopeless romantic attitude.
Another thing Jezebel used to help deal with her mother was music, she grew up listening to her favorite maid (and nanny) hum and sing to her. This love became embedded so deeply in her that she too began to sing and take tips and pointers from the maid. She never thought much about making singing a career until a stranger told her she had a wonderful voice and should go to Shenlia and be a singer there. She was filled with new hopes and dreams at that moment. As soon as her mother found out about such crazy dreams, she was quick to try and stamp them out, telling Jezebel she would never make it and Shenlia was a terrible place. Even her father told her to stop thinking about such things; it was high time she get married now anyway. Jezebel would listen to none of it and so in the middle of the night, Jezebel packed her bags and all the money she had been saving and left her home to Shenlia where she now resides. She is trying to find a job though she’s coming to realize this is tougher than she thought. Unable to get a job, Jezebel was unsure what she would do until she met Coralene. Coralene was kind enough to teach the girl how to be a spell crafter, which Jezebel gladly accepted the offer so she could make some money.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
-She wears the hat to help control the flame that is on her head. Its one of the few magical items her mother allowed in the house. The flame is actually cool to the touch, and reacts to Jezebel’s emotions. When she is calm or day dreaming it is small, but as she gets angrier it grows in size and is hot enough to burn people other than Jezebel.
-Any flame she creates is grayish purple in color.
-Has a pear-shaped body, so she often wears corsets to make her look bustier, especially when she is working (if she gets a job)
-Has never learned to swim because of her fear of the water, despite her father’s love for the water and efforts to teach her how to swim.
-When she left home, she practically took her whole wardrobe with her so she has a lot of outfits.
-She also tried to pack as many of her romance novels as she could
-Has a secret dream of finding her grandmother, her dreams of becoming an amazing singer and finding her soul mate however are not so secret.
